Campus Tree Plantation Drive at GGCP | Green Campus & SDG Initiative

GGCP is organising a Tree Plantation Drive on 21 September 2026 in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) to promote environmental sustainability and create greater awareness about the importance of trees and green spaces.

The initiative aims to encourage students, faculty members and staff to actively participate in environmental conservation and contribute towards developing a greener and healthier campus. The drive will focus on plantation of saplings across the campus, along with creating awareness about their proper care and maintenance.

Through this initiative, participants will be encouraged to understand the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance, improving air quality, conserving biodiversity and addressing environmental challenges.

The Tree Plantation Drive reflects GGCP’s commitment to sustainable development, environmental responsibility and green campus initiatives. The activity also supports the objectives of SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 15: Life on Land by promoting sustainable environmental practices and conservation of green spaces.
